Panchkula Voter Verification Campaign Starts

Panchkula: A door-to-door verification campaign for the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls commenced in Panchkula on Monday. According to the district administration, Panchkula currently has 4,29,273 registered voters. Of these, 1,99,315 voters belong to the Kalka Assembly constituency, while 2,29,958 voters are registered in the Panchkula Assembly constituency.

Enumeration Forms and BLO Visits

The district administration has printed enumeration forms, which will be distributed by booth level officers (BLOs) to every voter in their respective polling areas. BLOs will subsequently visit households to collect the completed forms. Officials clarified that only voters whose enumeration forms have been received and verified will be included in the draft electoral roll published during the revision process.

Online Submission and Record Verification

Voters can also submit their forms online through the voter service portal. Those who are unsure about details of their own or their parents’ and grandparents’ names in the 2002 electoral rolls can access the Election Commission’s search facility to verify records.
