Incident at Lake Road

On Saturday at approximately 11:15 AM, an 82-year-old resident of Lake Road was discovered lying unconscious on his bed. He was immediately rushed to MR Bangur Hospital, where medical professionals declared him dead upon arrival. The Tollygunge police have registered a case of unnatural death and are conducting further inquiries.

Discovery in Adi Ganga

Around 7:40 AM on the same day, the decomposed body of a 91-year-old woman from Chetla Road was found floating in the Adi Ganga river. The Kolkata Police disaster management team retrieved the body, and the Behala police have initiated a probe into the incident. The woman's identity has been confirmed, but the cause of death remains unknown.

Hanging Incident in Bama Charan Roy Road

On Friday at around 8:55 PM, a 49-year-old resident of Bama Charan Roy Road was found hanging from a ceiling fan using a dhoti. He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead. No suicide note was recovered from the scene, and authorities are treating it as an unnatural death.

Two Decomposed Bodies in Behala and Parnashree

On Saturday evening, two more decomposed bodies were discovered inside separate houses in the Behala and Parnashree police station areas. The deceased were a 72-year-old and a 48-year-old individual. In both cases, no suicide note was found, and police have initiated investigations.

Hanging at Sahapur Colony

In another incident, a 44-year-old person was found hanging from a ceiling fan using an 'orna' at Sahapur Colony under the New Alipore police station on Saturday afternoon. Again, no suicide note was located. The police have registered a case of unnatural death and are probing the circumstances.

In all six cases, the respective police stations have initiated probes under the relevant legal provisions for unnatural deaths. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact causes and whether any foul play was involved.
