Ghaziabad: A fire broke out at a car workshop near the Rapid Metro station at New Bus Stand, Hindon Dharma Kanta, in the early hours of Wednesday, gutting three four-wheelers.
Firefighters Respond Quickly
According to the fire department, two fire tenders were deployed to control the flames. The cause of the fire remains unknown, but officials suspect a short circuit. No casualties were reported.
Rahul Pal, Chief Fire Officer (CFO), stated that the fire department received a call at 5 am. Fire officers immediately rushed to the spot with two fire tankers and a water bowser. Upon arrival, they found the fire raging in the workshop of New Auto Life Motors on Meerut Road, near Dharma Kanta.
Operation Details
Two hose pipes were deployed, and pumping began to douse the fire. Within 30 minutes, the fire was completely extinguished. At the time, six vehicles were inside the workshop. The Fire Service Unit acted swiftly to rescue three vehicles and prevented the fire from spreading to surrounding areas.
Workshop Owner's Account
The workshop owner, Mohammad Arif alias Kallu Mistry, said he was sleeping with some mechanics when the fire started. “When we woke up, the fire was surrounding the workshop and heavy smoke was coming out. Immediately, I dialed 112 for help, and within some time, the fire department along with local police arrived to assist us,” he said.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the fire.
