In the early hours of Monday, two cars parked outside a garage in the Kamala Nagar area on Patur Road in Akola suddenly burst into flames. Both vehicles were completely gutted within minutes. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.

A large number of residents rushed to the spot and quickly pushed nearby vehicles away to prevent the fire from spreading. Firefighting teams arrived immediately after being informed and managed to bring the blaze under control.

While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, officials suspect a short circuit or extreme heat conditions. Akola has been recording temperatures exceeding 46°C for the last few days, which may have contributed to the incident.
