According to a government announcement on Friday, plans are underway to establish a total of 22 such centres across the state. Previously, ASKs were operational in Kolkata, Howrah, Asansol, Murshidabad, Cooch Behar, Malda, Siliguri, and Nadia.

First Centres in Bengal

The first UIDAI-operated ASK in the state was set up at Sector V in 2019, followed by another centre at Esplanade two years later.
