The Uttar Pradesh Police have intensified their crackdown on criminals involved in heinous crimes, resulting in two major encounters in the past 10 days. On May 4, the Ambedkarnagar police shot dead 20-year-old Aamir Ahmad, the prime accused in the murder of 35-year-old Gaasiya Khaaton and her four children. According to police, Aamir was attempting to flee towards the Nepal border when he was intercepted and challenged by a police team. During the encounter, he was killed in retaliatory firing. Investigators revealed that Aamir, who was out on bail in an earlier murder case, allegedly killed the woman and her children over a property dispute.
In another encounter on May 6, the Hardoi police gunned down 29-year-old Shahnoor in the Mallawan area. Shahnoor was wanted in connection with the kidnapping, sexual assault, and murder of a seven-year-old boy. Police stated that he opened fire while trying to evade arrest and was killed in retaliatory action. These incidents highlight the ongoing efforts by the UP Police to bring criminals to justice and ensure public safety.
The encounters have been part of a broader strategy to tackle sensational crimes across the state. Authorities have emphasized that such actions are necessary to deter criminal activities and protect innocent lives. The police have also urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to help maintain law and order.
