The Kerala Water Authority (KWA) has announced a scheduled water supply interruption in several parts of Thiruvananthapuram due to repair and maintenance work. On Wednesday, water supply will be suspended from 7 am to 7 pm to facilitate repairs to a leak in the KWA's 315mm pipeline on Nandavanam Road. The affected areas include Nandavanam, Bakery, Oottukuzhi, Secretariat, Gandhari Amman Kovil Road, Upper Thampanoor, Kunnumpuram, Ambujavilasam Road, Statue, and Pulimoodu.
Reservoir Cleaning on Thursday
Additionally, cleaning work at the water authority's PTP Nagar ground-level reservoir on Thursday will cause water supply disruptions in several wards under the Thirumala and Karamana sections. The affected areas include Kanjirampara, Pangode, Vattiyoorkavu, Vazhotukonam, Nettayam, Kodunganoor, Thirumala, Valiyavila, Punnakkamugal, Thuruthummoola, Poojappura, Karamana, Mudavanmugal, Nedumkadu, Kaladi, Arannoor, Valiyasala, and Pappanamcode.
Water supply in these areas will be disrupted on Thursday and Friday, with restoration expected by Friday night. The KWA has advised consumers in the affected regions to store adequate water in advance and take necessary precautions to minimize inconvenience.
