A tragic incident occurred in Kalyan's Gauripada area on May 14, where a 28-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the sixth floor of a residential building. According to the Khadakpada police, the woman was reportedly distressed over her mother's deteriorating health condition. Her mother had recently suffered a brain hemorrhage and was undergoing treatment. Family members were informed that the elderly woman's condition was critical.
Soon after the incident, the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Her mother also passed away a short while later during treatment. Police have registered an accidental death report and are investigating further.
