A tragic road accident occurred on Tuesday morning near Sadhupul in the Kandaghat sub-division of Solan district, claiming the life of a 24-year-old woman and leaving four others seriously injured. The deceased has been identified as Pooja, a resident of Koti in Shimla district.
Details of the Accident
The incident took place around 9:30 am when a car traveling from Chail towards Kandaghat lost control near Dochi and plunged nearly 150 feet into a deep gorge. The vehicle fell into the gorge, resulting in severe injuries to all occupants.
Rescue Operation
Local residents immediately rushed to the scene and rescued the injured passengers, all of whom were residents of Koti in Shimla district. They were promptly shifted to Civil Hospital Kandaghat in an ambulance for medical treatment. The condition of the injured is reported to be serious.
Legal Action
The police have registered a case against the driver of the car for rash and negligent driving. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
