Rourkela: A tragic incident occurred in Kamarpal village under Kundheigola police limits in Deogarh district on Saturday, where a 38-year-old woman and her minor stepson were electrocuted. The deceased have been identified as Upasi and Manoprit Bhutia (8). Their postmortem was conducted on Sunday, after which the bodies were handed over to the family for final rites.
According to local police, the incident took place when the woman and the child accidentally came into contact with a live wire. Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the electrocution. The local administration has expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
