A tragic road accident in Bhubaneswar claimed the life of a 21-year-old youth and left another person seriously injured on Saturday. The incident occurred at Rasulgarh area when their scooter skidded and was subsequently run over by a truck.
According to police officials, the mishap took place around 4 pm. Upon receiving information about the accident, a road patrol team immediately rushed to the spot. The body of the deceased, identified as Aditya Naulla, was shifted to a nearby facility by a PCR vehicle. The injured individual, Dibyansh Chhalina, a 29-year-old resident of Cuttack, was transported to Capital Hospital in an ambulance for medical treatment.
The accident caused significant traffic congestion in the area for some time. The patrol team, in coordination with local police, managed vehicular movement and successfully cleared the traffic jam to restore normalcy on the roads.
Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident to determine the exact cause of the accident and ascertain any negligence involved. Further details are awaited as the probe progresses.
