Prayagraj: An 18-year-old boy, a resident of Rajapur, was allegedly shot dead by his friend near Todipurwar canal road under the limits of Holagarh police station on Sunday morning. Senior police officials, including DCP (Ganga Nagar) Kuldeep Singh, along with forces rushed to the spot and carried out investigations. Family members of the deceased lodged a named FIR, and two police teams have been formed to ensure the arrest of the killer. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
Police Investigation and Details
DCP Kuldeep Singh told reporters that at 10 am, Holagarh police received information that an 18-year-old student had been shot and was taken to SRN hospital by two of his friends. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. Family members accused his friend of killing the boy over an old dispute. Police said that both boys studied at a coaching institute and were in dispute over a petty issue.
