A tragic incident occurred at Ghoda Pachad Dam in the Bilkhiria area on Monday afternoon, where a 19-year-old youth allegedly drowned in deep water while on an outing with his friends. The victim has been identified as Ishu Dhurvey, a resident of Aam Nagar in Bag Sewania area, who worked at a private firm. Another youth, Vinay alias Vikas Salve, who also slipped into the deep water, was rescued by a local fisherman and survived after being rushed to a hospital.

According to the police, the group of friends was playing near the dam when they ventured into the water. During this, Ishu and his friend Vinay allegedly slipped into deep water and began to drown. As their friends raised an alarm, a local fisherman who was present nearby jumped into the water and managed to rescue Vinay. Divers later recovered Ishu's body from the dam.

The Bilkhiria police have registered a case and started investigations into the incident. Authorities are examining the circumstances that led to the drowning and whether any negligence was involved. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination.
