Three Bills Tabled for Reintroduction
On Tuesday, Labour Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan initiated the proceedings by moving a proposal to reintroduce the Chhattisgarh Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) (Amendment) Bill, 2025. Following the House's permission, the Bill was formally reintroduced.
Subsequently, Higher Education Minister Tankram Verma presented the Chhattisgarh Private Universities (Establishment and Operation) (Amendment) Bill, 2025. This Bill also sought the Assembly's approval for its reintroduction, focusing on amendments related to the higher education sector.
Commerce and Industry Bill Also Presented
Later in the day, Commerce and Industry Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan moved another proposal. He sought permission to reintroduce the Chhattisgarh Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) (Second) Bill, 2025. With the consent of the House, this Bill was also successfully reintroduced for further legislative process.
Debate Scheduled for Wednesday
According to the Assembly Secretariat, a comprehensive discussion on all three Bills will be taken up on Wednesday. This will allow members of the legislative assembly to thoroughly debate the proposed amendments, their objectives, and their potential impact on the respective sectors they aim to regulate.
