A sudden and tragic industrial accident at a brick kiln in Tripura's Dhalai district resulted in the immediate death of three workers on Wednesday morning. The disaster struck at a brick kiln located near the Halahali block under Kamalpur. According to local police reports, work had commenced as usual at 10 am and was proceeding normally. However, around an hour later, the towering chimney of the kiln, which stood high above ground level, unexpectedly gave way. It collapsed with a deafening noise, crashing down onto the workers who were engaged in their daily tasks directly below.

The authorities have identified the four workers who lost their lives in the calamity. The deceased are Subal Debnath (55), Pinku Shil (37), Anil Gautam (49), and Sajal Malakar (40). The three injured labourers, who suffered serious wounds, were quickly shifted to the Agartala Government Medical College hospital for advanced medical care. Their condition is reported to be critical.
