Dehradun: A total of 73 cadets from the Indian Military Academy's (IMA) Army Cadet College (ACC) Wing graduated on Saturday after successfully completing a rigorous three-year academic and military training programme. The graduation ceremony took place at IMA's Chetwode Hall, where the institute's commandant, Lt Gen Nagendra Singh, conferred bachelor's degrees upon the cadets.
Commandant's Address
Lt Gen Nagendra Singh congratulated the graduating cadets and emphasized the qualities essential for a successful Army officer. He stated, "Character, self-discipline, courage, motivation, a positive attitude, and professional competence are the hallmarks of a distinguished military leader."
Degree Conferment and Academic Streams
The degrees were awarded by Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University. Among the graduates, 32 cadets hailed from the science stream, while 42 pursued humanities, all part of the 127th ACC course. Following their graduation, these cadets are scheduled to join IMA in July 2026 for pre-commissioning training before being commissioned as officers in the Indian Army.
Awards and Recognitions
During the ceremony, several cadets received prestigious medals for their outstanding performance. Wing Cadet Captain Naveen was honored with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gold Medal. Company Cadet Captain Avnish Kumar Mishra received the COAS Silver Medal, while Wing Cadet Quartermaster Harshraj was awarded the COAS Bronze Medal. Additionally, Nubra Company was declared the 'Champion Company of the ACC Wing' for its exceptional overall performance.

Every cadet undergoes a comprehensive graduation programme that is augmented with intense military training.
