Tragic Agra Crash Claims Two Lives, Including Young Girl, on Holi Journey
A devastating road accident in Agra resulted in the deaths of two individuals, including a five-year-old girl, and left seven others injured. The collision occurred on the Bah-Fatehabad road around 5 am on Tuesday, when a car traveling from Noida towards Bhind district in Madhya Pradesh crashed head-on with an oncoming truck.
Severe Impact and Fatalities
Police reported that the impact of the collision was so severe that the car, driven by Bhuri Singh from Anuppur village in Madhya Pradesh, was completely damaged. Singh was on his way home for Holi with his family and associates. The victims included his wife Chandrika, daughters Anyaya (11), Shivanya (7), and Tanu (5), as well as his associate Ramkumar (45), Ramkumar's wife Rekha (40), and their children Sushant (11) and Mandeep (8).
Tanu, the five-year-old girl, died on the spot. Ramkumar, who was seated in the front passenger seat, suffered critical injuries and was trapped inside the vehicle. Police personnel had to cut open the car to extricate him, but he succumbed to his injuries nearly 30 minutes after being pulled out.
Injuries and Police Response
The remaining occupants sustained serious injuries and were rushed to various hospitals in Agra. Doctors have stated that their conditions are now stable. The truck driver fled the scene and is currently on the run.
Upon receiving the information, a team from the Fatehabad police station immediately responded, sending all the injured for medical treatment. In a statement, Agra police confirmed, "Two individuals, including a 5-year-old girl, were declared dead by doctors. The treatment of the other injured individuals is ongoing. The family members have been informed, and further legal proceedings are underway."
