Ahmedabad Police Launches Welfare Initiatives & Newsletter
Ahmedabad Police Starts Subsidised Stores, Newsletter

The Ahmedabad city police has taken significant steps to boost the morale and welfare of its force by launching a new quarterly newsletter and introducing a range of subsidised amenities for its personnel and their families.

New Initiatives for Police Welfare

In a move aimed at supporting the well-being of its staff, the Ahmedabad city police has rolled out several new facilities on its residential premises. These initiatives include a dedicated grocery store, a vegetable shop, and a flour mill, all offering products at subsidised rates. This model is inspired by the welfare systems commonly found within the paramilitary forces, making essential goods more affordable for police families.

Launch of the Quarterly Newsletter

Alongside these welfare measures, the police department has also initiated a quarterly newsletter this year. The newsletter, a copy of which was shared with mediapersons on Friday, November 21, 2025, serves as a platform to highlight the department's key achievements. It features updates on major cases that have been successfully cracked, alongside detailed information on the latest police welfare programs.

A Boost for Personnel and Transparency

The introduction of these subsidised stores and the flour mill is expected to ease the financial burden on police personnel. Simultaneously, the newsletter enhances transparency by formally documenting and sharing the force's accomplishments and new projects with the public and the media.
