AIDYO Stages Major Protest in Rohtak Over Youth Employment Crisis

The All India Democratic Youth Organisation (AIDYO) organized a significant demonstration in Rohtak on Sunday, voicing strong opposition to critical issues impacting the youth, including the deliberate vacancy of sanctioned posts, widespread declaration of candidates as ineligible, escalating unemployment rates, and various other challenges faced by young people. The protest saw participants marching to the District Commissioner's Office, where they raised slogans and submitted a memorandum addressed to Minister Nayab Saini and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling for urgent governmental intervention.

Condemnation of Recruitment Irregularities and Vacant Positions

Balwan Singh, the state president of AIDYO, highlighted that recruitment processes are being manipulated by intentionally leaving posts unfilled. He accused authorities of systematically branding the youth of the state as "ineligible" and pointed out that a large number of positions in key recruitments, such as assistant professor and computer teacher roles, have been left vacant in a calculated manner. Singh described this situation as extremely condemnable and alarming, emphasizing the detrimental impact on employment opportunities.

Demands for Employment as a Fundamental Right

Harish Saini, the district convener of AIDYO, advocated for making employment a fundamental right, citing the severe dissatisfaction among youth due to continuously rising unemployment and irregularities in recruitment processes. He noted that unemployment in the state has reached its peak, with frequent paper leaks exacerbating the crisis. Instead of creating new job opportunities, existing posts are being abolished, further worsening the employment landscape. Saini demanded that both the central and state governments address youth problems seriously by immediately filling vacant posts, granting employment the status of a fundamental right, ensuring no posts remain vacant, removing barriers such as age limits, and guaranteeing employment opportunities for all citizens.
