Alok Kumar Singh Reappointed as RLM Bihar President
Patna: Dinara MLA Alok Kumar Singh was reappointed as Bihar state president of the Rashtriya Lok Morcha (RLM) on Sunday. The decision was made by the party's national president, Upendra Kushwaha, during a state-level convention held at Ravindra Bhawan in Patna.
Alongside Singh's reappointment, Kushwaha also appointed Prashant Kumar Pankaj and Subhash Chandravanshi as state working presidents. Additionally, Himanshu Patel was named the state principal general secretary of the party.
The state convention and election programme for the post of state president took place earlier in the day, with functionaries from across Bihar in attendance. During the nomination process, Alok Kumar Singh and Prashant Kumar Pankaj emerged as valid candidates for the top post.
According to RLM spokesperson Nitin Bharti, both candidates unanimously authorised the national president to select the state president during the period of withdrawal of candidature. Bharti stated, 'After being authorised by both candidates, Kushwaha declared Singh as the party's state president, keeping in mind the unity of the organisation, the sentiments of the workers, and the interest of the party.'
The announcement was made at the conclusion of the convention. Party leaders expressed confidence that the new team would strengthen the organisation ahead of upcoming political challenges in the state. The appointments are seen as a strategic move to consolidate the party's position in Bihar's political landscape.
