According to police reports, the fire erupted around 8 am, with flames spreading rapidly and engulfing the entire room, leaving the couple trapped inside with no means of escape. Severe Burns Lead to Fatalities Despite Medical Efforts

Medical authorities confirmed that both Pushpendra and Madhu had sustained severe burn injuries, with over 85% of their bodies affected. They were initially taken to RBM Hospital for emergency treatment but were later referred to Jaipur due to the critical nature of their condition.

Tragically, the couple succumbed to their injuries during treatment at Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur later in the evening. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, the extensive burns proved fatal.

Family Members Attempt Rescue, Suffer Minor Injuries

In a brave attempt to save the couple, Pushpendra's sister, Rupan, sustained minor burns while trying to douse the fire and assist in the rescue operation. Her quick action, along with that of other family members and neighbors, highlights the community's efforts in the face of disaster.

Couple's Background and Children's Safety

Family members shared that Pushpendra worked as a school van driver, while Madhu was a homemaker. In a heartbreaking detail, their two children were at school at the time of the incident, sparing them from the tragedy. This has left the children orphaned, with the community and authorities now focusing on their well-being.

Police Investigation Points to Short Circuit

Udyog Nagar Station House Officer Pawan Yadav stated that a police team was immediately dispatched to the spot after the incident was reported. The preliminary inquiry suggests that the fire was caused by a short circuit, though further investigation is underway to confirm the exact cause and circumstances.

This incident underscores the critical importance of fire safety measures in residential areas, especially in rural settings where such tragedies can have devastating consequences.
