Kasganj: Dispute Over Procession Route Leads to Confrontation
In Kasganj's Sahawar area, a disagreement over the route of a procession sparked a brief confrontation between two groups. Reports indicated that stone-pelting occurred during the incident, prompting immediate police intervention. Senior Superintendent of Police Om Prakash Singh confirmed that 23 individuals have been arrested in connection with the clash.
The situation has now been pacified, with police forces maintaining a strong presence as a precautionary measure. Officials emphasized that swift action was taken to disperse the crowds and restore order, preventing any major injuries or property damage.
Lakhimpur Kheri: Statue Installation Dispute Results in Scuffle
A dispute within members of the same community over the installation of a statue of BR Ambedkar led to a scuffle in Lakhimpur Kheri. The disagreement arose when one faction attempted to install the statue, which was opposed by another group. During the altercation, the statue was damaged, and a woman identified as Chanda Devi sustained minor injuries.
District Magistrate Durga Shakti Nagpal and Superintendent of Police Khyati Garg rushed to the spot with police forces and successfully stabilized the situation. Officials noted that attempts by some elements to spread rumours were promptly countered to prevent misinformation. Police have arrested eight people in Kheri, with investigations ongoing.
Lucknow: Garlanding Dispute Escalates into Minor Clash
In Lucknow's Banthra area, specifically in Ambedkar Nagar village, a dispute broke out between two groups over garlanding a statue of BR Ambedkar. The argument quickly escalated into a scuffle, resulting in minor injuries on both sides. Based on complaints filed, seven accused have been arrested, according to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, South Zone, Vasant Kumar.
Police responded swiftly to the incident, ensuring that the clash did not spread or intensify. The arrests were made to deter any further disturbances and maintain public order during the celebrations.

Director General of Police Rajeev Krishna provided an overview of the situation, stating that the incidents in both Lakhimpur Kheri and Kasganj were under control. He confirmed that senior officers were deployed on the ground to monitor developments closely.
"Strict action is being taken against miscreants and those attempting to incite tensions," Krishna emphasized, noting that the situation is being closely monitored from the DGP headquarters. He assured that police are vigilant and prepared to handle any further incidents to ensure peace and security across the state.
The police have registered a total of six FIRs across the three districts, reflecting a proactive approach to legal action against those involved in the clashes. Authorities continue to urge the public to celebrate peacefully and report any suspicious activities to prevent future disturbances.
