The Bengaluru South Corporation has identified 10 waterlogging-prone spots in its jurisdiction ahead of the monsoon season. To prevent traffic disruptions caused by haphazard parking, the corporation has deployed six towing vehicles to remove unauthorized parked vehicles.
This proactive measure aims to mitigate the usual chaos during heavy rains, ensuring smoother traffic flow and quicker water drainage. The identified spots include low-lying areas and major junctions that historically face inundation.
Corporation officials have urged residents to cooperate and avoid parking in restricted zones. The towing vehicles will patrol key areas to enforce parking regulations. Additional measures, such as cleaning stormwater drains and deploying pumps, are also being taken.
