Clash in Chhatarpur After Reckless Driving Incident

A violent clash broke out late Thursday night in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, after three youths allegedly riding a motorcycle recklessly collided with a scooter carrying a family. The injured were identified as Yogendra Kumar Shrivas (25), his wife Komal Shrivas, and their three-year-old daughter Anvi. The family later alleged that during the ensuing violence, attackers snatched the crying child from Komal's arms and threw her onto the road, causing injuries.

According to police, the incident began near the Vindhyavasini Temple police outpost when Yogendra objected to the reckless driving and removed the motorcycle key after the collision. This action allegedly triggered a heated argument. The accused then reportedly returned with several youths armed with sticks and attacked the couple. Their scooter was also vandalized.

The violence escalated into stone-pelting between two groups in the Toriya locality. Police teams that arrived at the spot were also attacked, and their vehicles were damaged. The Kotwali police registered two FIRs: one for assault and another for obstructing official duty. Cases have been filed against Zulfi, Chhotu, Sahil, Neeshu, Chhotu Khan, Bhura, and two unidentified persons. The accused are currently absconding.
