A dispute between two groups of youths allegedly over a girl turned violent near Gufa Mandir under Koh-e-Fiza police station limits in the early hours of Sunday, leaving around six persons injured, including two with bullet injuries, while others sustained stab wounds and fractures. Police said members of both groups had gathered at a ground near Gufa Mandir around 1.30 am to resolve the matter when a heated argument escalated into violence.

Escalation of Conflict

What began as a verbal confrontation soon spiralled into a physical clash as tempers flared and neither side backed down. During the confrontation, one youth allegedly opened fire, discharging two rounds. One bullet struck a person in the back, while another grazed the ear of a rival group member. The firing triggered panic, but the situation escalated further instead of dispersing.

Injuries and Aftermath

In addition to the two gunshot victims, other injured individuals sustained stab wounds and fractures from the violent altercation. Authorities have registered a case and are investigating the incident. The injured have been admitted to a local hospital for treatment, and their condition is reported to be stable. Police are questioning eyewitnesses and reviewing CCTV footage from the area to identify the perpetrators and ascertain the exact sequence of events.
