Bihar Sets Sights on Becoming Premier Investment Destination
In a significant development for Bihar's economic future, the state's newly appointed industries minister, Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, declared ambitious plans on Tuesday to transform Bihar into a thriving investment hub. The minister emphasized his commitment to turning challenges into opportunities while addressing reporters shortly after assuming charge of his department.
My primary objective will be to position Bihar as a preferred investment destination, Jaiswal stated, highlighting the dual benefits of job creation for youth and increased capital inflow for the state. He expressed confidence in attracting new investors and praised the department's dynamic officers for their positive approach toward expanding employment opportunities.
Transparency and Industrial Growth Promised
The industries minister pledged to operate with complete transparency in his efforts to establish Bihar as a significant industrial state. His announcement came as part of a broader ministerial induction where several NDA ministers officially took charge of their respective departments.
Among the other ministers who assumed their roles were Vijay Kumar Choudhary (IPRD), Mangal Pandey (Health), Ram Kripal Yadav (Agriculture), Sanjay Kumar Singh (PHED), and Rama Nishad (BC and EBC Welfare Department). Each minister outlined their sector-specific priorities during media interactions.
Comprehensive Development Initiatives Announced
IPRD Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary, who has taken charge of the public relations department for the third time, emphasized his focus on ensuring government schemes reach the masses effectively. Our department's reach extends to the sub-division level, and we will enhance its effectiveness to communicate government achievements and initiatives transparently, Choudhary explained.
He highlighted the information department's crucial role in not only disseminating information but also building direct public communication and addressing misconceptions about government work.
In the healthcare sector, Health Minister Mangal Pandey announced plans for a major new medical facility. A 400-bed orthopedic hospital will be constructed near Loknayak Jay Prakash Narayan Orthopaedics Hospital with an estimated budget of Rs 215 crore, Pandey revealed. The project, directed by the Chief Minister, aims to benefit bone disease patients across Bihar and is scheduled for completion within three months.
Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav addressed the core of Bihar's economy by committing to double farmers' income. Describing agriculture as the state's backbone, Yadav promised to ensure timely availability of fertilizers, seeds, water, and electricity at reasonable prices to support the farming community.
This comprehensive ministerial agenda signals a coordinated approach to addressing multiple development sectors simultaneously, with particular emphasis on economic growth, healthcare infrastructure, agricultural prosperity, and effective governance communication.
