The Akhila Bharatha Billava Union has announced the appointment of new office bearers for the management committee of the Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra for the term 2026-27. The decision was revealed during a press conference held on Friday by the newly appointed secretary, Ravishankar Mijar.
New Leadership Structure
According to Mijar, HS Sairam has been named as the president of the temple management committee. Urmila Ramesh Kumar will serve as the vice president, and Shekhar Poojary has been appointed as the treasurer. The committee also includes other members such as Jagadeep Suvarna, KT Suvarna, H Rathindranath, Sadananda Poojary, and Sharath Suvarna Bajpe.
Appointment Process
Mijar explained that as per the union's bylaws, the authority to appoint the management board of the Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra rests solely with the union. The new committee was constituted following the union's annual representative meeting, which took place on February 16 at the Narayana Guru College auditorium located within the temple premises.
Executive Committee Formation
During the annual meeting, a 50-member executive committee was formed. From this larger body, nine members were elected to serve on the temple management committee. This structured approach ensures representation and adherence to the union's governing rules.
The new committee is expected to oversee the administration and development of the temple, continuing its spiritual and cultural significance in the region.
