The political landscape in Uttar Pradesh has been stirred by the release of a movie with a contentious title, prompting swift action from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Analysts note that this development has put the BJP on high alert, as the party seeks to solidify its standing among the Brahmin community—a demographic that has been a cornerstone of its support base since the early 1990s, during the peak of the Ram Temple movement.

In response to the controversy, the Yogi Adityanath government has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the film's director. Simultaneously, the BJP's organizational machinery has mobilized its Brahmin cadres to engage with upper-caste individuals, aiming to clarify the party's stance and address any concerns. UP BJP spokesperson Hero Bajpai emphasized, "Any such narrative certainly creates a divide in society. This needs to be checked immediately."
Bajpai further stated that the party remains committed to its core principle of 'Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas' (Together with All, Development for All, Trust of All), a slogan designed to transcend caste lines and strengthen the broader social coalition that the BJP has cultivated since its significant rise under Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014.

A senior UP BJP leader highlighted that Brahmins have historically served as the ideological and organizational backbone of the party, particularly since the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.
