BJP, BRS secretly working together: Bhatti Vikramarka

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) are secretly collaborating while publicly projecting themselves as rivals. He made these remarks during a public meeting in Mancherial on Saturday, after distributing compassionate appointment letters to 335 beneficiaries.

Singareni Under Threat

Bhatti Vikramarka accused the previous BRS government of causing losses worth thousands of crores to Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL). He claimed that the company was deliberately weakened by preventing it from participating in coal block auctions. “We will not allow vultures, brokers, or exploiters to enter Singareni. Singareni belongs to the people of Telangana,” he asserted.

Attack on BJP and BRS

The Deputy Chief Minister launched a sharp attack on both the BJP and BRS, accusing them of deceiving the public through political theatrics. He claimed that the two parties are secretly working together while pretending to fight each other. He cited coordinated statements by BRS leader Harish Rao and Union Minister Kishan Reddy as evidence of their political understanding.

Compassionate Appointments

Addressing the issue of dependent employment in Singareni, Bhatti said that the government has accelerated the long-pending compassionate appointment process. He assured that applications of other eligible candidates would soon be examined and appointment letters would be distributed through similar public events. “The present government does not use power to facilitate exploitation,” he emphasized.

Padayatra and Promises

Recalling his padayatra through Adilabad district when he was the Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader, Bhatti said he personally interacted with coal miners and understood their hardships. He reminded workers that during the padayatra he had promised that an ‘Indiramma Rajyam’ would protect Singareni as an asset of Telangana’s people.

Warning to BRS and BJP

Vikramarka warned both parties against misleading workers and the public. He said the people of Telangana had already punished BRS in the assembly elections for alleged corruption and mismanagement. He cautioned that similar consequences await those who conspire against Singareni.

Bhatti Vikramarka’s statements come amid ongoing political tensions in Telangana, with the Congress government accusing the previous BRS regime of financial mismanagement and corruption. The Deputy Chief Minister’s allegations of a secret understanding between BJP and BRS are likely to intensify the political discourse in the state.
