BJP Takes Strict Action: Four Members Expelled in Anand District
In a decisive move, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has expelled four of its members from Anand district in Gujarat for a period of six years. This action was taken for their involvement in contesting against official party candidates or extending support to rival political parties ahead of the upcoming local body elections.
Immediate Expulsion Following State Directives
The expulsion, which took effect immediately, was carried out in accordance with directives from the state party leadership. The individuals affected by this disciplinary measure are:
- Dhanesh Vankar from Umreth taluka
- Bharat Rabari from Sojitra
- Kanaiyalal Shah from Umreth town
- Kamlesh Kumar Patel from the Karamsad-Anand municipal ward
Party leaders confirmed that these members were found to be either contesting as independent candidates or aligning with opposition parties, such as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress. This behavior was deemed a clear violation of party discipline and internal protocols.
Zero-Tolerance Stance Against Anti-Party Activities
Anand district BJP president Sanjay Patel emphasized the severity of the action, stating that the four individuals have been removed from the party's primary membership. Additionally, they have been stripped of any organizational posts they held within the party for the next six years.
This move underscores the BJP's firm zero-tolerance policy towards any form of anti-party activities, particularly in the lead-up to critical electoral events like the local body elections. By taking such strict measures, the party aims to maintain discipline and unity among its ranks, ensuring that all members adhere to the official party line and support designated candidates.
The expulsion serves as a strong message to other party members about the consequences of deviating from party directives, especially during election seasons. It highlights the BJP's commitment to enforcing internal rules and preserving organizational integrity in the face of political challenges.
