BJP MP Sandeep Pathak Denies Knowledge of FIRs in Punjab, Alleges Misuse of State Machinery
Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak has responded to media reports that two First Information Reports (FIRs) have been registered against him in Punjab, stating that he has not received any official information regarding the cases. Speaking to the press, Pathak described the situation as unclear and said he is waiting for copies of the FIRs before issuing a detailed response.
Pathak Raises Concerns Over Government Machinery
Pathak also raised concerns about the possible misuse of state machinery, suggesting that the FIRs might be politically motivated. He reiterated his commitment to principles and righteousness, stating that he has always adhered to these values and will continue to do so as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Exit from AAP Due to Ideological Differences
The BJP MP clarified that his departure from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was driven by ideological differences rather than personal motives. He emphasized that his political stance remains unwavering and that he will continue to serve the public with integrity.
The development comes amid heightened political tensions in Punjab, where allegations of misuse of power have been exchanged between ruling and opposition parties. Pathak's statement underscores the ongoing friction between the BJP and AAP in the state.
