BJP Yuva Morcha Stages Protests in Karnataka Over Congress 'Shirtless' AI Summit Demonstration

In a significant political development, the Bharatiya Janata Party's youth wing, the Yuva Morcha, organized coordinated demonstrations in two major Karnataka cities on Saturday. The protests were a direct response to what they termed the "shirtless protest" staged by Indian Youth Congress workers during the AI Impact Summit in Delhi.

Hubballi Demonstration: March to Congress Office

In Hubballi, BJP Yuva Morcha members initiated their protest by marching from the ESI Hospital to the local Congress party office. Throughout the march, participants raised loud slogans condemning the Congress party and its workers' conduct at the technology summit. The demonstration escalated when protesters attempted to picket the Congress office, leading to police intervention.

Law enforcement officials detained several BJP workers who were trying to lay siege to the political office. During the protest, participants articulated their support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision for technological advancement, stating that AI technology is crucial for India's development as a growing nation.

Belagavi Protest: Effigy Burning Attempt

Simultaneously in Belagavi, BJP workers gathered at Channamma Circle before marching toward the Congress office. The protesters strongly denounced the alleged 'half-naked' demonstration by Youth Congress members during the AI Summit and criticized the slogans raised against Prime Minister Modi at the Delhi event.

The situation intensified when some protesters attempted to burn an effigy of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Police quickly intervened, stopping the workers and making several arrests. Those detained were later released, but authorities maintained tight security around the Congress office as a precautionary measure following the incident.

Political Reactions and Technology Vision

Protesters in both cities expressed their anger at what they described as the "low level of behavior" displayed by Congress workers during a significant technology summit. They emphasized that Prime Minister Modi has consistently championed India's progress in information technology and that artificial intelligence represents a vital frontier for national development.

The BJP demonstrators argued that such protests undermine serious discussions about technological advancement and show disrespect toward the Prime Minister's visionary leadership in this critical field. Police presence remained heightened in both cities following the demonstrations to prevent any further escalation of political tensions.
