BJP Youth Wing Launches 'Modir Bondhu' Digital Campaign in Assam

The youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), known as the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), has officially launched a new digital campaign titled "Modir Bondhu" (Friend of Modi) in Guwahati, Assam. This initiative was inaugurated on Friday with the primary goal of disseminating the works and accomplishments of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to all segments of society across the state.

Inauguration and Key Attendees

The campaign was formally inaugurated by Assam BJP state president Dilip Saikia at the party's state headquarters in Guwahati. The event witnessed the presence of over a thousand youths who are actively associated with various digital platforms, highlighting the campaign's focus on engaging the younger generation.

Notable figures in attendance included national election in charge Baijayant Jay Panda, MP Bansuri Swaraj, and Darshana Jardosh, underscoring the significance of this digital movement within the party's broader strategy.

Objectives and Vision

Dilip Saikia emphasized that "Modir Bondhu" is a digital movement designed to showcase the progress and development achieved under the leadership of PM Modi at the central level and CM Himanta Biswa Sarma at the state level. He expressed optimism that the youth participants would serve as witnesses to Assam's ongoing development journey, enabling them to share accurate information about regional and state-wide growth through social media channels.

BJYM state president Rakesh Das further elaborated on the campaign's scope, stating that it aims to cover all regions of Assam. He highlighted that through this program, lakhs of digitally connected youths will extensively promote the developmental works undertaken by both the Central and state governments on social media platforms, ensuring widespread outreach.

Jan Ashirwad Yatra Announcement

In related developments, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma commented on the upcoming Jan Ashirwad Yatra by the BJP, scheduled to begin on Saturday. He described the yatra as a crucial initiative for the party, aimed at seeking blessings from people across all segments of society to facilitate the formation of a government for a third consecutive term.

BJP spokesperson Jayanta Kumar Goswami provided details on the yatra, noting that its objective is to establish direct contact with people in every region of Assam. With a plan to connect with one lakh people daily, the party has announced an initial eight-day phase of the program, which will continue until March 9.

Goswami also contrasted the BJP's unified election campaign with the opposition, stating that while the BJP is leveraging its organizational strength, the Congress and other opposition parties are preoccupied with internal conflicts over alliance issues.
