Union Health Minister JP Nadda has stated that the central government has extended liberal assistance to Himachal Pradesh, rejecting allegations of discrimination. Speaking at a press conference in Shimla, Nadda highlighted the significant funding provided for roads, health, education, and infrastructure projects in the state.
Funding for Key Sectors
Nadda detailed the financial support allocated to Himachal Pradesh under various central schemes. He emphasized that the state has received substantial grants for highway development, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions. The Minister also pointed out that several major infrastructure projects are underway with central funding.
Rejection of Discrimination Claims
Responding to opposition criticism that the state has been neglected, Nadda asserted that the Centre has treated Himachal Pradesh fairly. He provided data showing that the state's share in central taxes and grants has increased over the past years. He urged the state government to utilize the funds effectively for the benefit of the people.

- Road Infrastructure: Approval of new national highway projects and maintenance of existing roads.
- Healthcare: Establishment of new medical colleges and upgrading of district hospitals.
- Education: Funding for schools and higher education institutions under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.
- Infrastructure: Support for power projects and rural development schemes.
Nadda also criticized the state government for not properly implementing central schemes and urged it to expedite project completion. He assured that the Centre would continue to support Himachal Pradesh's development.
