Nagpur: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) has intensified preparations for its planned protest in Nagpur on June 16. The demonstration will be led by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, who virtually addressed party workers during a review meeting held in Sonegaon on Sunday.
Protest Leadership and Itinerary
Dipke is expected to arrive in Nagpur just a few hours before the protest. While the final schedule is yet to be announced, Anurag Jain, founder of the Yuva Cockroach Janta Party, informed TOI that Dipke will likely first visit Deekshabhoomi before joining the protest. Jain emphasized that the protest will focus on education-related issues and will question Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
Engagement with Coaching Institutes
The party plans to approach coaching institutes to allow students time to participate in the agitation. Jain stated that the organization does not expect NEET aspirants to actively join the protest, as it is scheduled just days before the NEET re-test. "We are fighting for the students and do not want to disrupt their studies. However, we are in touch with several coaching institutes in Nagpur and will request them to allow students a three-hour recess so that those willing can join the protest and return to their classes," Jain said.
According to Jain, meetings have been scheduled with representatives of various coaching institutes ahead of the agitation. He added that Dipke initially approached local party members through social media and proposed staging a protest in Nagpur. Supporters are expected to arrive from neighboring districts, including Bhandara, as well as from Raipur.
