Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhu Celebrates 62nd Birthday with Focus on Economic Revival

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu marked his 62nd birthday in Shimla on Thursday, surrounded by thousands of supporters and well-wishers from diverse backgrounds. The festive occasion featured traditional 'pahari' music and dance performances, with a drone showering flower petals over the gathering at his residence, Oak Over, adding a modern touch to the celebrations.

Economic Recovery Pledge Amidst Festivities

During the event, CM Sukhu emphasized his government's unwavering commitment to revitalizing the state's economy. He confidently assured the public that Himachal Pradesh's financial health is set to improve significantly over the next four to five months. "The Budget we have presented is designed for the common people," Sukhu stated, addressing the crowd. "On my birthday, I want to reassure everyone that we will implement even better decisions in the coming period to drive prosperity for both the state and its residents." He added that challenging circumstances do not deter his administration's resolve.

Housing Aid Disbursed to Women Beneficiaries

In a significant gesture, the Chief Minister provided financial assistance to 18 women beneficiaries under the Himachal Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board. Each recipient was granted Rs 1 lakh as the first installment of a total aid package of Rs 3 lakh, aimed at supporting the construction of their own homes. This initiative underscores the government's focus on social welfare and housing security for marginalized groups.
