The Coimbatore Compressor Industries Association (COCIA) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to TVK leader C Joseph Vijay for securing a significant number of seats in the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly election.

COCIA highlighted several long-pending demands for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). These include reducing electricity demand charges, withdrawing what it described as unjust GST penalty actions by the state commercial taxes department, and lowering the increased GST rates on engineering job work and wet grinder manufacturing. The association emphasized that addressing these issues is crucial for the sustainability and growth of small-scale industries in Tamil Nadu.
