Coimbatore Police Conducts Large-Scale Flag March Ahead of Assembly Elections
Under drizzling skies on Tuesday, the Coimbatore City Police organized a formal flag march as part of comprehensive security preparations for the upcoming assembly election. The march was designed to reassure the public and demonstrate the police force's full readiness to maintain strict law and order throughout the election period.
Leadership and Participation Details
The flag march was led by City Police Commissioner N Kannan, with Deputy Commissioners of Police N Devanathan and G Karthikeyan actively participating in the event. The exercise featured an impressive deployment of more than 500 police personnel, including home guards and armed reserve police officers.
The procession included a substantial fleet of patrol vehicles, with 40 four-wheel patrol vehicles and 20 two-wheel patrol vehicles participating in the security demonstration. This visible show of force was strategically planned to strengthen public confidence and ensure a peaceful atmosphere leading up to the crucial polls.
