Sullah MLA Vipin Singh Parmar has strongly criticized the Congress-led Palampur Municipal Corporation for its failure to address pressing civic issues in the town. Addressing a press conference, Parmar alleged that the corporation has been negligent in its duties, leading to deteriorating conditions in water supply, sanitation, and road maintenance.
Water Supply Woes
Parmar highlighted that residents of Palampur have been facing acute water shortage despite the corporation's claims of adequate arrangements. He pointed out that many localities receive water only for a few hours daily, forcing people to rely on private tankers. The MLA demanded immediate action to resolve the crisis and accused the corporation of mismanagement of funds allocated for water projects.
Sanitation and Drainage Issues
The MLA also raised concerns over poor sanitation and drainage systems in the town. He stated that clogged drains and overflowing garbage bins have become a common sight, posing health risks to residents. Parmar urged the corporation to expedite the cleaning of drains and ensure regular waste collection.
Road Conditions
Parmar criticized the condition of roads in Palampur, saying that many roads are riddled with potholes and remain unrepaired for months. He claimed that the corporation has ignored repeated complaints from residents and commuters. The MLA demanded that the civic body prioritize road repairs to ensure safe travel.

Parmar accused the Congress party of using the municipal corporation to favor its workers and neglect the public.
