A prominent Congress leader from Khammam, Mohammed Javeed, tragically lost his life in a devastating road accident near Suryapet on Wednesday afternoon. The 55-year-old former president of the city Congress committee was traveling alone from Khammam to Hyderabad when the fatal crash occurred.

According to Suryapet Rural Circle Inspector G Rajasekhar, the accident took place at Balemla village near Suryapet. Javeed was driving a Tata Harrier SUV when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle and struck a road divider. The impact caused the SUV to veer off the roadway, flip over twice, and land in an adjacent open space.
"All the airbags in the vehicle deployed during the crash, but unfortunately, the victim was ejected through the broken sunroof," Inspector Rajasekhar stated. "He sustained severe injuries and died instantly at the scene."
Police Investigation and Possible Causes
Preliminary investigations by the Suryapet police suggest that excessive speed may have been a contributing factor in the accident. Authorities are examining two primary possibilities for why Javeed lost control of his vehicle:
