Cricket Match Argument Leads to Stabbing in Mumbai Vikhroli

A 27-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in Surya Nagar, Vikhroli, Mumbai on Wednesday night following a petty argument over a cricket match. The Vikhroli police have registered an attempt to murder case against the accused and are searching for them.

Incident Details

According to the police, the incident occurred on Tuesday at around 9:30 PM at Garage lane. The victim had just returned from work and was parking his two-wheeler when he was confronted by the accused.

The accused, identified as Harshad Palpinkar, Aditya Sasane, and Rajesh Devar, approached the victim regarding an argument that had taken place during a cricket match in February. When the victim stated that he had forgotten the matter, the trio allegedly began abusing and physically assaulting him.

Nature of Assault

The main accused reportedly stabbed the victim several times with a knife on the thigh, head, chest, and stomach. Meanwhile, the other two held the victim and assaulted him with kicks and punches. The victim managed to escape and was taken to Rajawadi Hospital by a friend for medical treatment.

Police Action

The Vikhroli police have registered an attempt to murder case against the three accused. Investigations are ongoing, and efforts are being made to apprehend the suspects.
