The Dalit Sena has demanded action against Karnataka Minister Boseraju over allegations of land encroachment. In a letter addressed to the Chief Minister, the Governor, and the Forest Minister, Javeed Khan, state organisational secretary of Dalit Sena, alleged that five acres of land recorded as government or reserved forest land were registered in the name of Boseraju's wife.
Allegations of Land Encroachment
The letter, submitted on 29 April 2026, claims that the land in question is government property and should not have been transferred to any private individual. The Dalit Sena has urged the authorities to investigate the matter and take appropriate legal action against the minister.
Demand for Investigation
Javeed Khan stated that the encroachment of forest land is a serious offense and undermines environmental conservation efforts. He called for a thorough probe to determine how the land was transferred and who was responsible. The organization has also demanded the immediate cancellation of any illegal titles or registrations.
Political Reactions
The allegations have sparked political debate in Karnataka, with opposition parties calling for the minister's resignation pending an inquiry. However, no official response has been received from Boseraju or the state government as of yet.
The Dalit Sena has warned of further protests if no action is taken within a week. They have also appealed to the public to provide any additional evidence related to the case.
