Pawan Kalyan Ensures Special Darshan for Solo Moto Vlogger Swathi Roja
Deputy CM Aids Solo Woman Biker's Pilgrimage Concerns

In a swift response to a solo woman traveller's plea, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has personally intervened to facilitate a smooth pilgrimage experience. The action came after popular moto vlogger Swathi Roja shared her distressing experiences during a spiritual journey, particularly at the famed Srisailam temple.

Vlogger's Video Sparks Deputy CM's Intervention

Swathi Roja, who is on a nationwide solo bike expedition named 'Sahana Yatra', posted a video detailing the challenges she faced. She specifically mentioned being denied accommodation by the authorities at the Srisailam temple and raised serious concerns about the safety and facilities available for women travelling alone to pilgrimage sites. Her video resonated widely, drawing attention to a critical issue faced by many women devotees.

Taking prompt note of her concerns, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan directed officials to make special arrangements for her darshan (holy viewing) at several major temples. The list included the very temple where she faced difficulties—Srisailam—along with Tirumala, Srikalahasti, and the Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada.

A Meeting of Minds: Safety, Pilgrimage, and Motorcycles

On Monday, the matter moved from virtual outreach to a personal meeting. Swathi Roja met with Pawan Kalyan at his camp office in Mangalagiri. During their interaction, the Deputy Chief Minister enquired in detail about her 'Sahana Yatra' and appreciated her efforts to document and share India's spiritual and cultural heritage with a broader audience. He extended his best wishes for the success of her future travels.

The discussion took a thoughtful turn as Pawan Kalyan recalled his own experiences at Srisailam. He emphasized the paramount importance of ensuring the safety and dignity of all women devotees at pilgrimage centres across the state. The meeting also revealed a shared passion, as the two conversed about their mutual interest in motorcycles.

Gratitude and a Smooth Pilgrimage Experience

Following the meeting, Swathi Roja proceeded to offer prayers at the Kanakadurga temple in Vijayawada. After her darshan, she met the Deputy CM once again. This time, her purpose was to express sincere thanks for his immediate response and for ensuring her pilgrimage was hassle-free.

This incident highlights a growing dialogue about infrastructure and security for solo women travellers in India, especially in religious tourism circuits. The direct intervention by a senior political figure has set a precedent for addressing such grievances promptly. It underscores a commitment to making spiritual journeys accessible and safe for everyone, regardless of gender or travel companion status.
