In a meticulously planned logistical exercise preceding the urban local body elections, Dhanbad district authorities successfully coordinated the dispatch of polling parties from the Mega Sports Complex on Sunday morning. District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Aditya Ranjan, along with Senior Superintendent of Police Prabhat Kumar, officially flagged off the teams carrying election materials destined for 1,019 polling stations under the Dhanbad Municipal Corporation and Chirkunda Municipal Council.
Comprehensive Preparations and Security Protocols
Prior to the departure, a high-level delegation including DC Ranjan, SSP Kumar, Deputy Development Commissioner Sunny Raj, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Lokesh Barange, and Deputy Election Officer Mukesh Kumar Bauri conducted an extensive inspection of every enclosure at the dispatch center. The officials personally interacted with polling personnel, offering encouragement and boosting morale ahead of the crucial electoral process.
To maintain organizational efficiency, separate vehicle bays were established for the two civic bodies, ensuring orderly movement and preventing confusion. Transport officials stationed at the main gate provided precise guidance to polling personnel, directing them to their designated vehicles. Every vehicle underwent rigorous inspection under a two-layer security system before receiving clearance for departure.

The administration implemented extraordinary traffic management strategies to facilitate swift movement of election materials. Twenty-three dedicated green corridors were created throughout the district, allowing election convoys to reach their respective polling stations without encountering delays. Traffic at major intersections across Dhanbad was temporarily suspended to grant priority passage to these essential vehicles, which received continuous police escorts throughout their journeys.
Following the successful departure of all polling parties, DC Ranjan confirmed that every team had left smoothly for their assigned booths.
