The deceased has been identified as Sk Maimuddin, a resident of Kusunupur village under Ghatgaon police station limits. Local Protest and Demands

Following the accident, local residents staged a protest by burning tyres and blocking the highway. They demanded the installation of speed breakers on the road and compensation for the damage caused to the house. The protesters initially refused to allow the removal of the body from the scene. The blockade disrupted vehicular movement on both sides of NH-220 for over an hour.

After discussions with police and local administration officials, the protesters agreed to lift the blockade, and traffic resumed. Kiran Pal Sahu, inspector in-charge of Patna police station, stated, "After talks, the blockade was lifted and traffic resumed. The body has been sent for a post-mortem, the vehicle seized and further investigation is on."

The police have registered a case and are conducting a thorough investigation into the accident. The vehicle has been seized, and the deceased's body has been sent for post-mortem examination. Authorities are working to determine the exact cause of the crash. The incident highlights the need for improved road safety measures on NH-220, particularly in the Badabil area.
