Foundation Stone Laid for Yamunanagar Development Works

Yamunanagar MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora and Mayor Suman Bahamani jointly laid the foundation stone for development works worth Rs 23.54 lakh in Roop Nagar and Rajesh Vihar Colonies, falling under Ward 12 in Yamunanagar.

Inauguration Ceremony

During the foundation stone laying ceremony, the MLA and Mayor, along with local Municipal Councillor Tilak Raj, BJP Mandal president Manoj Dhiman, and other dignitaries, formally inaugurated the construction work. Residents expressed happiness at the start of the development works and welcomed the guests.

Mayor's Remarks

Mayor Suman Bahamani said the construction of streets and drains in Roop Nagar and Rajesh Vihar Colonies had been a long-standing demand. She noted that the completion of these works would permanently solve the problems of waterlogging and dilapidated roads in these areas.

She issued strict instructions to officials and the contractor concerned, stating that the construction work must be completed within the stipulated time frame. She also emphasised that no compromise on the quality of materials used in the construction of streets and drains would be tolerated. She said the officials of the Municipal Corporation should regularly monitor the development work.

MLA's Vision

MLA Ghanshyam Dass Arora said ensuring equitable and comprehensive development of every ward in the Assembly constituency was his priority. He added that the government is committed to providing a better quality of life to the people, and budget constraints will never be allowed to hinder development work.

Tilak Raj expressed his gratitude to the Mayor and MLA for this significant gift. He said that the construction of these streets would not only facilitate traffic but also eliminate the problems of waterlogging faced during the rainy season.
