Four Class VII Girls Missing in Kanpur, Boarded Train

Kanpur: Four Class VII girls from a private school in Jajmau, Kanpur, were reported missing under suspicious circumstances on Friday after they allegedly left the school without informing anyone, reached Kanpur Central Station and boarded the Jammu Tawi Express.

CCTV footage showed all the girls boarding the train. It was later learned that the girls deboarded the Jammu Tawi Express and boarded the Kalka train heading towards Prayagraj at 2:26 pm.

After receiving the information, Jajmau Police and the RPF jointly launched a search operation. A police team was dispatched along with the family members towards the probable location.

Family members said one of the girls left home carrying Rs 2,500 and clothes, raising suspicions that the group planned the trip in advance.

Jajmau police station in-charge Sanjay Pandey said information was being gathered about all possible stations and trains. “We will locate them soon,” he added.

Search Operation Underway

The police are coordinating with railway authorities to track the girls' movements. CCTV footage from Kanpur Central and other stations is being reviewed. The RPF has been alerted at all stations along the route to Prayagraj.

Family Concerns

The families of the missing girls are anxious and have appealed to the public for any information. They suspect the girls may have been influenced by someone or planned the trip themselves.

Authorities have urged anyone with information to contact Jajmau police station immediately.
