The National Panchayati Raj Gram Pradhan Association has expressed its gratitude to the Uttar Pradesh government for appointing Gram Pradhan as administrators until the next Panchayat elections. On Wednesday, the association pledged to give a "return gift" to the Yogi Adityanath government in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections scheduled for early next year.
Association President's Statement
Association president Akhilesh Singh stated that the organization intends to highlight how the Uttar Pradesh government has created history by appointing village heads as administrators until the upcoming elections, thereby significantly enhancing their credibility. He noted that this move has paved the way for the uninterrupted continuity of development works within the villages.
Fulfillment of Promise
Singh remarked that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath fulfilled the promise he made to village heads on December 15, 2021, during the "Gram Utkarsh Samaroh" (Village Upliftment Ceremony) regarding the operation of a "triple-engine government." This promise has now been realized, reinforcing trust between the government and village heads.
Planned Activities
The association will express its gratitude to the government by organizing ceremonies at the state, divisional, district, and block levels. These events will serve to thank the government and strengthen the relationship between the administration and Panchayati Raj institutions. Additionally, the association will continue to engage in dialogue to resolve the difficulties faced by Panchayats across the state.
