The CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones for a comprehensive suite of projects with a total value of Rs 751 crore, underscoring the state government's unwavering dedication to enhancing public welfare through strategic urban planning.

During the event, Patel strongly emphasized the administration's commitment to the principle of "Ease of Living." He articulated a clear policy stance, stating that well-conceived and meticulously planned development initiatives are never subjected to unnecessary delays or rejections. Instead, they are processed and cleared with exceptional speed to ensure that the intended benefits reach the public in a timely and efficient manner.

Housing for the Underprivileged: A Key Achievement

Reiterating and championing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ambitious vision of providing a home for every poor and middle-class family in the nation, Patel personally inaugurated 1,010 newly constructed EWS-II housing units in the Railnagar locality. These residences, developed under the flagship Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana at a cost of Rs 119.05 crore, represent a significant step toward affordable housing.

The housing complex is equipped with modern, future-ready amenities designed for comfort, safety, and sustainability:

Foundation for Future-Ready Infrastructure

In a parallel move to bolster the city's core infrastructure, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for 40 forward-looking projects valued at Rs 543.89 crore. This substantial investment is strategically allocated to address critical urban needs:

  1. Roads and Public Buildings (Rs 368 crore): Major upgrades to transportation networks and civic facilities to improve connectivity and public services.
  2. Water Supply Expansion (Rs 173 crore): Significant enhancement of water distribution networks, specifically targeting newly developed areas to ensure reliable access to clean water.

Inauguration of Vital Water and Drainage Facilities

The development spree also included the inauguration of key water management and sanitation infrastructure, crucial for a growing city:

  • A 23 MLD (Million Liters per Day) sewage treatment plant in Raiyadhar, constructed at a cost of Rs 33.30 crore.
  • A 15 MLD sewage treatment plant in Ghanteshwar, built with an investment of Rs 30.85 crore.
  • A substantial 139-lakh-litre ground service reservoir to bolster water storage capacity.

Upon his arrival at Rajkot International Airport, Chief Minister Patel was greeted with a warm reception by senior city officials. He then proceeded to the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium to participate in the ‘Dada no Het no Honkaro' program. This event was organized by the Federation of Housing Board Association to formally felicitate Patel for his prompt and sensitive intervention in resolving long-standing water and electricity connection issues at the Anandnagar Housing Board quarters.
