Sanghavi pointed to festivals like Navratri as prime examples of Gujarat's commitment to women's safety. "Women in Gujarat feel safe even late at night, particularly during festivals like Navratri. They return home fearlessly after enjoying garba," he stated. This assertion comes amid ongoing national debates about women's security, positioning Gujarat as a model of effective governance and cultural norms that prioritize safety.
Call to Action for Upcoming Local Elections
Addressing the upcoming elections for local self-governing bodies scheduled for April 26, the Deputy CM urged citizens to use their franchise as a powerful rebuttal to critics. "It is time to vote and give answers to those who try to defame our state and question its safety," he added. The State Election Commission (SEC) recently announced that polling for 15 municipal corporations and hundreds of panchayats will involve over 4.19 crore eligible voters, making this a crucial democratic exercise.
Focus on Youth and Sports Development
Stressing the importance of sports in nation-building, Sanghavi called the youth the "future of the state" and later stepped onto the pitch to play a few overs of cricket with GNPL participants.
